This light, greyish blue-green ink is inspired by the colour of Hisoku (literally "Secret Colour"), a type of celadon pottery that was highly valued in classical Japan. Each glass bottle contains 40ml of fountain pen ink (also suitable for brush pens) and is presented in a stunning box.
The colours of the inks in this series date back to the Heian era of Japan (approximately 1000 years ago) and were created following consultation with craftsmen and experts in this field. The cuckoo logo is based on ancient haiku poetry and in particular a poem by Basho Matsuo who was the most famous poet in 17th century Japan.
This range of inks have been made in accordance with Japanese traditional colours. Craftsman and experts collaborated with TAG Stationery to create the range.
Kyo-no-oto and Kyo-iro inks by TAG Stationery work well with all fountain pens, dip pens and brush pens. They are made using water based dyes and are non pigmented inks.
