Learn a new skill in 2020!

Come join us for a fun bookbinding class with Michael of Standard Bindery.

Michael studied bookbinding during a 3 year apprenticeship before working as a qualified bookbinder. This workshop is held at Standard Bindery on the last Sunday of the month.

This 2 and a half hour workshop will step you through the process of creating your very own rustic style sketchbook using the long stitch binding method, a traditional style that involves sewing pages into a genuine leather cover. To add a finishing touch you'll have the choice of adding a free metallic foiled monogram to your book.

This class is designed for the absolute beginner and no prior experience in craft is required. All materials will be supplied and you will leave with your very own leather A5 size sketchbook/journal as well as templates and instructions so you can continue making books at home.

We have 6 places available for each workshop.

Time:  9.30am to 12pm

Date: Sunday, 23 February, 2020
